Tony, an artist from San Antonio, largely honed his craft through self-directed study, supplemented by formal instruction during his adolescent years. He subscribes to the philosophy that artistic potential is an inherent trait, with the journey to mastery shaped by introspection and perseverance. His art is characterized by intricate pen and ink sketches, employing cross-hatching techniques and occasionally augmented with a spectrum of hues via acrylics, watercolors, oils, or digital mediums. These elements coalesce to create a visual narrative that is both realistic and abstractly evocative. Tony's work is often accompanied by quotations that offer a window into the emotional impetus of his creations. His inspiration is drawn from the chronicles of Black History and daily life with a focus on portraying the narratives of the black community and illuminating historical and contemporary issues that warrant greater attention.
